At N+I Tokyo 2002, Systemonic demonstrated its Tondelayo™ dual-band, 802.11a+b Wireless LAN silicon solution to their tier one OEM customers and the Japanese press. The demonstration featured a Systemonic Tondelayo reference design communicating with standard 802.11a (5 GHz) and 802.11b (2.4 GHz) access points (AP) that were connected to video servers. The Tondelayo reference design showed compatibility with the high-performance 802.11a and legacy 802.11b wireless infrastructure by connecting to these remote servers and downloading multimedia files over both wireless bands.

Systemonic was proud to have the Tondelayo Wireless LAN chipset be nominated for the "Best Of Show Award" and the following picture features the award nomination in front of the Tondelayo solution in CardBus form factor.

Reference designs, development platforms and samples are currently available. Qualification samples will be offered in Q3 2002 for the published price of $35, in volume. Customer NIC card designs, utilizing the Systemonic solution, will be shipping in high-volume by the end of the year.
