SYSTEMONIC OPENS U.S. HEADQUARTERS IN SILICON VALLEY; APPOINTS
VICE PRESIDENT SALES AND MARKETING TO SUPPORT GLOBAL EXPANSION
Industry Veteran, Jim Bland, to Develop Organization
Focused on Meeting Needs of Global Communications, Consumer and
Computing OEMs based in North America and Asia
San Jose, CA and Dresden, Germany -- July 9, 2001 - Systemonic,
the leading provider of silicon-system solutions for multi-protocol,
wireless communications applications, today announced the global
expansion of its operations with the opening of a United States
headquarters office in San Jose, CA. This newly-opened office's
key activities include sales, marketing, and technical customer
support activities for global OEMs located in North America and
Asia that are developing products with wireless capabilities for
different regional markets.

said Ruediger Stroh, recently-appointed CEO of Systemonic.
Systemonic, a fabless semiconductor company, also today announced
availability of its H01 Baseband Processor, the first single-chip,
baseband solution to seamlessly support both 802.11a and HiperLAN2
protocol standards. This solution is already under evaluation by
leading companies in consumer electronics, mobile and enterprise
computing and wireless networking infrastructure markets. Simultaneously,
the company announced the immediate availability of the HiperSonic
Reference Design Platform, a complete development system for use
in rapid global wireless LAN system development. (See companion

Key Appointment - Industry veteran to lead Sales and Marketing
A senior appointment follows the Silicon Valley office opening with
the addition of Jim Bland as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Mr. Bland will be responsible for global sales and marketing activities
and will operate out of offices in San Jose. Jim brings over 30
years of semiconductor experience in operations, sales and marketing
including recent senior positions at Infineon and Lucent.
